Delete your Cuffplay account
Last updated: October 10, 2026
This page deletes your Cuffplay account — the same account you use on cuffplay.com and in the Cuffplay app for Android. It works whether or not you still have the app. In the app you can do the same from You → Delete account.
What happens
- You confirm it's you (your password, or signing in with Google again).
- Straight away: you're signed out everywhere, every connection you have in the app ends (the other person only sees that the connection ended, never why), and invitations you sent stop working.
- For 7 days you can change your mind: sign in and cancel here or in the app.
- After 7 days the account and its data are permanently deleted — always within 30 days of your request.
What is deleted
- Your account: email, display name, date of birth, Google sign-in link, sessions and settings.
- Your test results, your map of interests and limits, and anything imported into the app.
- Compatibility profiles and share links made from your results.
- Your personal practice, reminders and points.
- Everything you wrote in a shared space. Shared spaces end when you ask to delete; their content is removed 30 days after they end.
What is kept, and for how long
- A record that a deletion happened (an internal id and dates — nothing about you), so we can show it was done.
- Encrypted backups roll over and are gone within 30 days.
- Safety reports and anything we must keep by law (for example, a valid legal hold) for as long as the law requires. See the Privacy Policy.
