Practice
Agree on rituals and tasks together
Cuffplay is a free, private BDSM and kink web app for adults. Start on your own; explore with a partner when you’re ready. Practice gives you a place to keep small commitments, discuss shared ones, and change course without treating a missed moment as a failure.

Choose a ritual or a task
A ritual is an action you return to. You can set its repeat pattern and keep it in your personal space, where you can change or pause it. A task is one thing you intend to do once. A personal task needs no partner approval, and you can change or cancel it.
These are different ways to give an intention a place to live. A ritual might be a short daily check-in with yourself. A task might be setting aside time for one conversation. Choose the format that fits the action, then revisit it when life changes.

Propose shared practice and wait for an answer
A shared ritual or task begins as a proposal. The other person can Accept, Discuss or request a change, or Decline. Discussion does not activate the proposal; either of you can offer a revised version. Declining is allowed and carries no penalty.
Timing can be discussed too. If a task’s proposed time no longer works, you can request a new time. Your partner can accept it or keep talking. Passing a task’s optional due time is not treated as a failure. For a recurring ritual, you can propose an adjustment that applies to future days while the past stays as it was.
You can ask to try another time without making a refusal into a missed task. Nothing shared becomes active simply because one person proposed it.

Keep points and rewards optional
Points can add a small record of effort, but rituals and tasks work with points turned off. In a shared space, one person proposes using points and the other must agree before they start. Either person can turn them off later without asking. There is no penalty for turning them off.
Rewards also involve a person’s choice. A request can be approved or declined. Cuffplay does not let rewards put a price on stopping, leaving, saying no, privacy, or asking for help. Those choices remain available regardless of anyone’s points balance.
If you prefer a BDSM habit tracker without a score, leave points off. You can still create a personal practice or agree on a shared one.

Use D/s Protocol only as far as you both agree
D/s Protocol is a more structured agreement inside Practice. Its ladder has four tiers. You can begin with Rituals, then choose whether to open Rules & tasks and Rewards & consequences together. The fourth tier is shown in the ladder but is not available to open yet. There is no need to advance through the tiers.
Both people review an agreement and sign by holding the sign control. A proposed version starts only after both have signed it. If you later change the agreement, the new version also needs both signatures.
At the rewards and consequences tier, slips have a daily cap set in the agreement and are considered in a nightly review. A consequence can be chosen only from a menu both people agreed to. The review can also let a slip go or swap it for a task. Open slips clear rather than piling up.
“This really hurts” is an immediate stop within the Protocol flow. It stops that consequence, counts nothing against the person who used it, and calls for a conversation first. Either person can pause the Protocol; rituals, slips, and the nightly review rest while it is paused.

Return without streak pressure
Practice uses gentle reminders, not streak warnings. A skipped ritual day is shown as a skip, not a miss. A declined or cancelled task carries no penalty. While a shared connection is paused, shared practice is on hold and nothing counts as missed.
A Protocol can show a streak for its agreed rituals. You can still pause the Protocol, and the app’s reminders are not streak warnings. If a rhythm stops fitting, talk about it and revise the agreement.

Keep a copy of your part
You can download My Part from a shared practice space. The export includes what you both agreed to, what you wrote, and your own points record. It does not include the other person’s private free-text notes. You choose whether to save or share the exported file.
If a connection ends, the app provides a limited period to download your part. My Space remains yours.

Shared rituals and tasks become active only after the other person accepts. Shared points start only when both people agree, and either person can turn them off. Pausing shared practice stops new activity and does not count it as missed.
